Battleship Island, also known as Gunkanjima or Hashima Island, is a battleship look like artificial island and significant symbol of rapid industrialization of Japan, getting worldwide notice since appeared in various movie or drama scenes.

Used to be the home of undersea coal miners and their families, the island still preserves the abandoned construction such as schools, hospitals, public pools, even the shire, making a spectacular view for every visitors.

Battleship Island had been registered as one of World Heritage Site of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution in July 2015.
